Why is my email address spelled out instead of using the @ sign?
A web page that contains an email address like somebody@somewhere.com can be a major source of spam. Programs search the internet looking for the typical pattern of an email address and automatically add it to their list of addresses. Yes, we could set up spam filters that would eliminate much of the spam mail, but this makes it much simpler and more reliable. We believe that if you're smart enough to be on the internet, then you are smart enough to know what an email address looks like. If you would rather not use email (alot of people don't) please feel free to call or fax us. You will probably get a faster response anyway. We also accept (and appreciate) plain old-fashioned letters through the postal service.
